An Inside Look at Creative Ladder L.A.

Another Creative Ladder leadership bootcamp is in the books! This time, our series of one-day events for rising leaders from underrepresented backgrounds came to Los Angeles, and we’re still thrumming from the local community’s energy.

Creative Ladder L.A.—free to attend thanks to generous support from Capital One, Hilton, Consiglieri, MNTN and Omelet—was absolutely packed with insightful talks led by innovative leaders from the L.A. area.

Industry icon Adrienne Lofton, Google’s VP of global consumer marketing, kicked off the day with an emboldening talk, alongside Creative Ladder CEO Dionna Dorsey, about knowing your worth—and when it’s time to move on to the next opportunity.

Dionna Dorsey wears a mint-green suit with a black top while sitting in a tan chair on stage next to Adrienne Lofton, wearing a zebra-striped black and white long-sleeved top with black pants and holding a microphone.

Deloitte’s Christina Wingard, a veteran Creative Ladder facilitator, then walked attendees through Deloitte’s Business Chemistry assessment tool to help them learn more about their strengths and potential areas of miscommunication with colleagues.

Attendees then enjoyed several hours of smaller-group discussions across Creative Ladder L.A.’s three programming tracks: Authenticity, Advancement and Connections.

The day ended with a powerful talk from Obsidianworks CEO Chad Easterling about creating—and continually updating—a career plan that will always keep you focused on growth in whatever way you choose to define it.
