An Inside Look at Creative Ladder ATL

On May 12, The Creative Ladder held our first Atlanta event, and the city immediately made us feel at home.

With about 60 rising creative industry leaders from underrepresented backgrounds on hand to attend, Creative Ladder ATL offered a full day of leadership development sessions tailored to each attendee’s personal and professional priorities.

Creative Ladder ATL was completely free to attend for those accepted through a rigorous application process. Offering this event at no cost was only possible thanks to the generous support of presenting sponsor Deloitte, host sponsor Hilton (who provided the gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Atlanta as our venue), track sponsors Capital One and The A Pledge, and Taste of ATL sponsor UPS.

The event connected attendees, most in the first 10 years of their careers, with dozens of local leaders from globally recognized brands and agencies, including Delta Airlines, Instagram, Coca-Cola, Google, Majority, Work & Co., Guided by Good, Giant Spoon and many more.

What attendees are saying

  • "Overall experience is 10/10 and anyone who is interested in attending the next bootcamp better apply, because it's the best thing they can do for their career and their well-being."

  • "The entire experience felt like home. It was such a special and safe place to learn and engage in networking, leadership and career advancement."

  • "Informative, inspiring, invaluable."

  • "The positive energy in the room was infectious. This needs to happen again."

54% of our Atlanta participants identify as Black, 15% as Latinx and 10% as Asian American. 44% are immigrants or children of immigrants, 19% are neurodivergent, and 12% identify as LGBTQIA+. It was so wonderful to have such an inclusive crowd on hand and candidly sharing their experiences, obstacles and ambitions.

In the video above and photo gallery below, you can get a feel for what it was like to be on hand for Creative Ladder ATL—and maybe they’ll inspire you to join one of our upcoming leadership boot camps!

One new perk we added for attendees at Creative Ladder ATL was a Taste of ATL box, packed with 10 products from local small businesses owned by Black, brown and LGTBQIA+ entrepreneurs.

We are so thankful to UPS for sponsoring the Taste of ATL experience, which we’re excited to bring to future events and help amplify the work of local business owners from underrepresented backgrounds.

The Creative Ladder is so appreciative of our amazing sponsors, whose support was vital in making Creative Ladder ATL a success:
